This PDF is a starter version of the soon to be released Mad for War 17th century naval rules system. Mad for War Essentials allows players to dive in quickly with a few ships and understand the game flow in order to be ready for the main rules release before the summer of 2021. Everything you need to experience the challenges of command in 17th century naval warfare is included here.
We believe it is best to start simply. Understanding the rudiments of sailing, shooting and fighting will provide a taster for the full game. You will quickly recognize whether you have an appetite to move into the expanded rule system and make a commitment to building your fleets.
