OK So we have a mix of great stuff on the run up to Christmas!

Some of it is available right now for shipping, some is to advance order as we'll have limited stocks for the first couple of months and we're giving our customers a chance to 'bags it' early.

Firstly let's introduce the new counter sets designed by the Harrison Brothers! The test sets we took to Historicon were a real hit and we sold...

WE ARE FIVE YEARS OLD! Warfare Miniatures at school age

Forwards! Get that guy from Warfare Miniatures!

When I decided to take full ownership of Warfare Miniatures in 2011 I had little idea what lay ahead. I never possessed an intention to get involved in the engine room of wargaming much preferring the less complicated view from the upper decks as semi-passenger and idle commentator.

The very first code WLOA1 which happens to be our best seller

Below...

Swedish Command S11 and S12 - painted after 18 months

Swedish Command Marching S11

Well, yes the models have been available for 18 months and maybe they have not sold as fast as other codes because I never got round to painting them and putting these nice versions in the shop!

No nonsense Sergeant
Elegant Drummer
Open handed Colour bearer

Both are for use with marching battalions with code S12...

Warfare Miniatures Mounted Dragoons - detail view

WLOA58 Mounted dragoons in hats

Here is a detailed overview of Warfare Miniatures' new mounted dragoon code of three troopers. The models are sculpted with hats.
This relaxed and natural pose is a nice change

The new horses are really well proportioned

The horses are of a size representing the inferior mounts of dragoons. There are four horse variants and three of the four...

Is play testing fun? BLB Next Generation

The fact that I am asking that question (of myself) implies that play testing sends you slightly bonkers which is, on reflection, a possibility.

It all starts when you actually publish a set of rules! You think you have play tested them to death and then people begin to play them and a whole new raft of questions appear that you realize should have thought of yourself!

Having spent about 21 hours...

Warfare GNW Mounted Russian Dragoons - New Sculpts

We have two sets of Russians sculpted with more to follow. We have chosen not to show the traditional dragoon pose with musket resting on calf. Our muskets will be attachable to the trooper together with the scabbard.

I noticed a comment on TMP regarding the horse sizes. This is an interesting case of wargamers preconditioning their own expectations and extrapolating out. The horses we have chosen...

GNW Swedish Cavalry - new sculpts

I am so excited about these and the fact that we'll have them in production very soon. We have nine new troopers (soon to be 12) plus six new command plus 5 new horses.

Clib has pulled out all the stops with these and the preview shots here will be expanded with more detailed reviews of each code.

Warfare Miniatures Mounted Dragoons - pre release view

BLB squadron size - six models

Well these chaps have taken a long time to appear but having had a chance to paint one each of the first six models and four new horse types I am hugely pleased with what we are about to release and believe them to be we worth the wait.

Featured here are three Command and three dragoon models in hats which could be...
